Hi,

The actions are not working properly in Photoshop CS3. Some are not changing the image at all and others that are supposed to show dialogs while running are not showing them.

I did the following:

Restored the default settings by clicking Ctrl-Alt-Shift while starting Photoshop.

Unloaded all actions by clicking "Reset All Actions" from the actions palette menu.

Deleted the actions from the actions folder and copied them there again from the CD.

Loaded the actions again.

Still no luck. I was careful not to click in the two columns preceding the action name in the actions palette.

Can you help me?

Thanks.

Which Actions specifically? What kinds of files (bit depth, color mode)? Some Actions may not work on certain kinds of files.

Try Saving any custom Actions then trashing Actions Palette.psp from the Documents and Settings folder, then restarting Photoshop. Just a shot in the dark.

Hi Ed,

The action is called Totally Rad! Yin/Yang which is a photo retouching action and I know it is supposed to work on 8-bit RGB images. It is supposed to display a message telling us to change the opacity of two layers manually. It used to show the message previously but doesnt do it any more so I know.

I tried quitting photoshop, and deleting the file you mentioned from that folder. But no luck still.

Maybe it’s been corrupted. Is it a third party Action? Can you download or install it again?
