Hi Group,
I’m having a problem placing Jpeg images in DW CS3. Some come in and display themselves just fine. Others come in as what appears to be the file name displayed as a link, blue text and underlined. Previewed in a browser, when I click the link the message is:
The image cannot be displayed, because it contains errors. I’ve looked at the properties of these different images and don’t have a clue
what the problem is. Somehow, I need to find out what these errors are in the jpg images and repair them.
Any ideas would be appreciated
Bob

Do the images open OK in Windows Picture and Fax viewer? Try using Irfanview, (free) http://www.irfanview.com/ if they open OK, resave with a different file name.
Google for JPG repair.

I have frequently used irfanview to open and fix damaged photo files. As irfanview opens a file, it straightens out the minor errors that other programs have difficulty with. Then all you have to do is save the file under a different name and use Photoshop on this new file name. If irfanview can’t open it you are in deep trouble and serious photo rescue programs may be the only solution.
