I have a technical question regarding the pen tool and its capabilities. I am using the pen tool to cut out a shape in the form of a large bold solid letter "c" from a .jpeg image. My problem is I create a section of the path for the outer border of the "c" and another for the inner border, but I cannot seem to manipulate the anchor points to correspond in a perfect curved parallel manner. I hope that’s understandable, I’d really appreciate and answer. Thanks very much,

BRIAN

Sometimes, it’s much easier and more accurate to look at the shape you want to outline, mentally analyze it as a group of primitives, and use combinations of basic shapes (along with the "add to shape" & "subtract from shape" functions) to outline an object.

Brian,

Some other suggestions as well:
1. maybe it’s easier to select the shape with the selection tools and then convert the selection to a path.

2. Use the type tool and type a c then Layer > Type > Make work path or Convert to shape.
