Can anyone help in Ohotoshop 7. I want to create an image that has depth. What I mean is if you where to look at a glass chopping board at a slight angle you would see 2 edges. I am not good with photoshop but what I don’t want is a drop shaddow. I want a thick black edge around the imafe.

TIA Desmond.

Desmond.
Are you creating the image from scratch or working on an image of a chopping board?
If you mean a chopping board viewed at an angle so as you can see the front and side edge, one way would be to use the pen tool to draw out a path, which you then turn it into a selection and apply a stroke to the selection.(right click on the path)
I can’t see it looking very realistic though.
You could also use the Marquee tools (polygon)to draw thin selection rectangles which you could then fill with different colours to imitate shading.
If this selection was on its own layer you would be able to apply layer styles and blur to make it more believable.
If you are creating it from scratch, you should be working with vectors and there are better programs than PS for doing this.
Have a look on Google for PS drawing tutorials.
