Close your eyes. Or get such a fast computer that it’s there only for a second. In Imageready you can change the splash screen. Real cute. (On Macs before OS-X you can put anything you like there instead.)

Why do you want to get rid of it? Are you using it for a slide show tool?

That should take care of that pesky splashscreen.
