‘Program Error’ while printing

message – ‘could not print due to a program error’

I have reinstalled the software and the printer driver numerous times to no success. I have also played wtith the cache and memory options. Using WINXP Pro on a Epson 3000. This has happened suddenly.

Any advice?

Try resetting your preferences per the procedure in the FAQ.

I am experiencing the same error. I have reset the preferences file as described in the FAQ. This allows me to get one print. After that I get the exact same error again. Any further help would be appreciated.

Operating system:- Windows 2000
Program:- Photoshop 5.5
Problem:-

While logged on as a power user (all permissions set correctly) I get "Could not complete print command because of a disk error"

Bags of disk space, disk defraged,

Program works correctly when logged on as Administrator

I’m pulling my hair our here guys and girls ………. and I cannot afford the loss !

has anyone come up with a solution to this? I am having the same program error messages with my Epson 9600. I realize Epson has many issues with other software and drivers but there must be a fix out there… I would appreciate a direct reply to this address as I don’t normally hang out on the discussion

I notice it happens while I am in the page set up of "Print with Preview".. I don’t have the problem if I just print.. But CTRL>P dies nearly every time.. Re-install the driver and it works once then dies again..

Well.. I guess you are right.. I DID need to come back to see your reply!! THANKS! I appreciate it.. But I did try the advice in post #3 and it didn’t work.. the stuff in post #5 got too harry for me to mess with.. Mannn.. I am JUST a photogrpaher… not so good with all the problems software has…
Any other ideas? Is anyone else out there having these problems? Thanks!

Totally understand. So… step by step then.

What operating system? What version of Photoshop? What is the EXACT error message? What is it that you do that causes the error to be displayed? Is it repeatable? Has it always done it or has something changed?

Once we know that info, then you’ll probably get good help.
