I have a problem with my Photoshop CS 3. Everytime I try to open a file the program crashes producing the message "Photoshop.exe has detectetd a problem".

I’m runnig CS 3 on a Windows XP x64 OS. I have already installed the update to version 10.0.1.

All I could find out was, that it must have something to do with my EPSON printer driver for the EPSON Stylus Photo 2100. If I remove the driver from the system, CS 3 works without crashing.

Can somebody help me?

Thanks in advance.

Just avoid having your Epson as the default.

The solution, weird as it sounds, is to make a generic printer driver your default printer. If you don’t have one, download it here:
