If you need to move a selection, and have your action Pause, you can try recording this into your action:

After your selection is made, use Select|Transform Selection. That will force a pause until you confirm a move or a real transform of the selection (in the options bar at the top). While in Transform mode you can move it around, then once you confirm it, your action should continue normally.

There may be more simple ways to do what you want but we would need to know more about what you’re trying to do.

By the way, your English is fine.

Peace,
Tony

Hello again! =)

Thanks whit the answer. I try these but dont work for me =(

I will try to expres what want to do.

I hava a lot of images. Right? All whit 700×600 or 700×500 or 600×700 but all big pics (relative). I want to make licke a ZOOM in the original pic, then transform the pic to 400 px and then copy the ZOOM.

Why i need change the possition of one selection? Because the ZOOM will be in diferent place in the pic 1, 2, 3, 4… 99. Im clear?

Now, i see and isnt a selection so i need to move. I need to move an elipse. I need to move whit the mouse these elipse in other place…

Thanks for all..

John,

It’s a little hard to understand exactly, but don’t worry, we’ll get through it. Here’s the important point.

I need to move an elipse. I need to move whit the mouse these elipse in other place…

Try this manually first. Draw your elipse. Then Select|Transform Selection. Move it with your mouse. Confirm in the Options Bar.

I don’t understand the rest of your process, but it sounds like you are creating a magnification of an area and putting it in the image itself.

So if you are going to automate that, the source as well as the destination will be different from image to image, so you need a "pause" in the action sequence. So what I would do, is what I wrote above – draw the marquee, then Select|Transform Selection. Then move it to your desired location, then use the Insert Menu Item and use New Layer Via Copy, followed by Edit|Transform.

When recording your action, make sure your ruler is set to Percent. That way, all your selections will be relative to the canvas.

So what this will do is draw your elipse, and pause so that you can move it. Then use New Layer via copy and when you Edit|transform that layer, your action will pause again, waiting for you to resize and move the new layer.

Peace,
Tony

Tony:

Thanks again man… i apreciate a lot this.

Look. I try to do these "draw the marquee, then Select|Transform Selection. Then move it to your desired location, then use the Insert Menu Item and use New Layer Via Copy, followed by Edit|Transform" but i cant move the elipse whit the mouse.

Look… i need to create these images: www.kiax.com.ar/accion/test.jpg These pic I create whit my accion, but have 3 STOP´s so the Batch dont work.

Here i put my accion:
www.kiax.com.ar/accion/file.zip

You can find there:

A Folder (here is 3 files so you need to create the zoom. To work fine my accion you need to copy the folder Sitios in you D: ) The Accion.

Take a look, when apear the first STOP i need to move the brown elipse. But in one pic i need put in a place… in other pic i need put in other place… why? Because the ZOOM´s arent the same in the pics.

The second STOP is to put the small elipse (whit text) over the ZOOM elipse. Licke you see in this pic: www.kiax.com.ar/accion/test.jpg

And the last STOP is to put the ZOOM layer (was a imported PNG)in the corner of the pic.

If you want to contact me more directly please here is my MSN: or my ICQ: 76866759

Thanks a lot!…

Regards…

John. =)

Tony:

I cant bealive these!!!…

I find the opcion to do these and work whit the batch´s.

The opcion is Edit> Free Transform. Then in the accion you need to click in the right. So, when you run these in the Batch… when the accion see the free transform dont play if you dont click in the check. =)

Thanks a lot man… realy i apreciate all you do for me. And please contact me whit msn or icq.

Thanks again…

John.

John,

Unfortunately, I don’t chat, so MSN and ICQ aren’t an option but it sounds like you have it sorted. One of the issues is that you are using more than one image. These are always messy because it relies on "Next Image" and "Previous Image". I didn’t realize that your zoom marquee was a separate image.

In any event, it seems you have it worked out so, good luck.

Peace,
Tony
