Please take a look at this graphic and maybe give me a little help.

How did they make the curved line at the top and then shadow it on the "inside"?

Sure could use a tutorial or an explanation.

Pretty easy. The line can be made with the Pen, turning the Path into a selection, then making a Layer Mask out of it.

The shadow is a Layer Style…Inner Shadow.

Do this on an image on a Layer above a white Background.

I am a little slow with the pen, can’t seem to get it to curve the way I need, but I will brute force it out.

Thanks. That picture was taken a few years ago. She’s older and fatter now, but still a good dog, MOST of the time.

I should mention that if you are making a jpeg the white Background is not necessary.

It takes a bit of practice to master the Pen, but it is one of the more valuable skills to have.
