How large of print could I have made off of PS?
I want to have a print 48 x 48 inches if that’s possiable.
Photoshop will handle file sizes of between 30,000^2 and 300,000^2 pixels depending on version.
At 300 ppi this will give you an image of either 100 or a 1000 inches square.
Even bigger if you go for a lower resolution. (depends on viewing distance) A 4 foot square image at 300ppi will have a pixel dimension of over 580MG in size.

So the person that I would send the image to would be able to do the pixel conversions to enlarge it to 48 x 48? I don’t want the pixels spread out so far has to where the image would lose it’s crispness.
What size/resolution is the image now?
For example, a 3000 x 3000 pixel image at a resolution of 300ppi will give an image of 10 inches square.
The same image will provide a 48 inch square image at a resolution of only 62.5 ppi
If you resized the image in Image>Image Size with resample checked, PS would add pixels through interpolation and your 3000×3000 pixel image would become 14,400 x 14,400 pixels (48 inches x 300ppi).
PS has to "guess" as to what extra pixel info to add which does lead to a softening of the image.
Quality can also depend of what your viewing distance is, you can get away with much lower resolutions (pixel density) if you are viewing from a diststance, billboards being an example.
Check your file size and do the math.
