Has anyone successfully gotten Banner Printing to work in Photoshop 7.0. I cut 11 x 17" photo paper down to 8.5 x 17" so I can print large panaromics, and I need to trick my printer into using the new size, and Photoshop is not helping.. I select banner, and it says some clipping will occur and it cuts it …
I have to use paint to print on 8.5 x 17" paper and Banner settings.. since I cant get my HP Photosmart P1000 print to use any paper size higher then 8.5 x 14"
or does anyone know how to get rid of of the limit for user defined paper size.. or be able to add a new one to printer options..
any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Eric

There is no limit on my Epson 1290, I’ve printed to 30+ inch panoramas on it. User defined under roll paper or sheet. What printer are you trying to print to if not the HP?

John – the Epson driver has a limit of, I think, 44 inches.

Paper size limits are going to come from the drivers, not Photoshop.

Banner Options for Photoshop still dont work.. That is really my issue. I know my printer has a limitation on size, but the only way around that is using continous paper.. but Photoshop does not know how to handle that..

One more time: paper size limts come from the drivers, not the application.

Eric,

I have an Epson 3000 Stylus and I’ve used PS7 to print 17" x 44" banners. The printer driver will only allow me to print up to 44" long, but I have printed large formats with PS7.

Yes you are selecting the printer paper size of 17" x 44", etc.. but my printer has an option called banner printing, which works in paint, but not in photoshop.. this is an issue with Photoshop also..
If you select that option, it clips the image, so you cant use that option.. If I had a setting on my printer called 11x 17" on my printer.. then I wouldnt have this issue.. but Banner printing is my workaround.. but Photoshop doesnt support it..
