Have been using the new 3D extrude feature with great effects.

However, when exported to Flash, or some other vector based format, blending and fill inconsistencies appear.

check out this swf to see what I mean.
http://www.matthewbarnett.co.uk/temp/3Dextruding.swf (86K). You will see vertical lines and uncompleted fills along the top and bottom lid seals.

anyone no what problem is having, or has done similar stuff without any problems?

Matt

P.S. might be a good idea to provide the Illustrator CS file as well!!! http://www.matthewbarnett.co.uk/temp/3Dextruding.ai (891K).

The chances of finding Illustrator users are even higher in an Illustrator newsgroup.

That’s because each band of colour is a separate object. When printed the objects are so close that the defects get lost during the halftoning process, but when kept on computer you see them.

If you’re going to do stuff like this and export to flash, it’s best to actually draw it that way instead of using the 3d tools.

At least as good as finding a stubborn, clueless idiot.

You should go into spamming.
