I’m trying to open RAW images in CS2. When I try to do it, an error box pops up saying that it’s an unknown file type(.nef). I’ve even tried using the software that my camera came with, but that won’t let me either.
Also, the image RAW dialog box doesn’t even come up when I try to open a raw image… Anyone know what I’m talking about?

Don’t know if CS2 is same as CS3 for RAW but check out this link for similar problems.

It sounds like the RAW file is newer than the Camera RAW plugin.

Are you using ACR 3.7?

Ok, I figured it out. I had to get a dng converter that was up to date. I’m able to convert them to a negative now so I can upload them to P.S. Thanks for your advice!
