I have on image, and one irregular shape (a geographic land mass). I want to apply the image over top of the shape so that the image wraps to the shape like wrapping paper. This is probably a terrible description of what I am trying to do, but if anyone can help, Id appreciate it. Im new to the Adobe products.

Cheers,
John

You might be able to do it with the Displacement filter. Here’s a short tutorial on how to create/use displacment maps.

Hope it helps. You might have to experiment with it before you get it right.

You can also do a search on the web for Displacment Maps in Photoshop, you’ll get a bunch of tutorials.
