Ian Lyons and the "Remember" Key

Ian Lyons gave a tip that pressing Alt-Opt in the Print dialog changes the Done button to Remember (e.g. to save your settings). However, I do not see where it is ‘remembering’ my settings. In particular, with an Epson ICC profile and Photoshop Manages Colors, the Match Print Colors keeps coming up checked even after I click "Remember". For some reason, Match Print Colors gives a preview with a cyan background (should be white) and unchecking it returns the background to the white color as it should be.
I cannot see where the ‘remember’ button is doing anything.

Does anyone have a suggestion on this or what I am doing wrong?
