Using the font tool and selecting any font in the list results in that font having a light grey shadow behind the text letters.

Text colour has been selected as black, but text is blurred due to the effect noted above.

Its driving me nuts

Hope someone can help

Thanks in anticipation

Try resetting your type tool from here:

BTW you should update to 10.0.1

many thanks for pointing me in right direction.

To get rid of the problem I had to set the anti alias to NOne.

All the others resulted in the problem I was experiencing.

Again

many thanks

Dave,

At which magnification do you view the type when experiencing the problem?

David,

Still I think something is wrong. If a car’s exhaust is defective, switching off the engine may seem the solution, but it isn’t.

How does the type look at 100% can yo give a screenshot of the problem?

(upload that to <http://www.pixentral.com/> and copy the HTML code in your reply).

screenshot at (hope I got that right)

the bottom line is what happens when I turn on the sharp in the anti alias selection box.

Cheers
