Bob,

Why do you need plug ins?
PS is not a one click program and PS 5 will do a great deal of what the later versions will do, granted, not as fast maybe.
I would concentrate on learning PS and then when you find something that cannot be done by this version or if it can, in a very long winded way, then have a look if there is a plug in that will do what you want. That said a free plug in site

Have fun.

thanks for the info. had one called roc or something like that but it needs a serial number to continue the install but it was for photo’s I think. I only have a 1 gh processor and 512 of ram and thats as good as it gets for now. Its slow and locks up from time to time when I run PS. I have had to reinstall more times then I care to remember.
but it does some fun things.

Bob,
You’re welcome.
When I started to use PS5, 512 MB ram and a 1GH processor was the stuff of science fiction/large bank balance.
You should do fine with those specs, what else is running at the same time. PS prefers not to share (especialy with anything beginning with "Norton") Hard drive space could also be an issue, you need at least 15% free on an unfragmented disc.
Scratch disc doesn’t like to live on a C drive either.
Locks up when running or opening?
Lock up when running is usually down to memory problems (use Task Manager when PS is running and see if anything is maxing out)
and lock up on opening is usually down to a corrupt preference(s) file(s) or a flakey font.
Reinstallation will not correct this.
The file needs to be deleted ( a new one is created at startup) See the Help files for a HowTo or;
Start PS with the alt+shift+ctrl keys held down.
It’s a timing thing, if you get it right you will be asked if you want todelete the file, you do.
If you do not get the dialogue box, you aint done it right.

Regards
