hi
Well i am trying to make a file, which will have a textured overlay. actually I am using a couple of textures i found over the internet for the same. Problem is, when i am done, the file ends up being way too big. around 16-19 mb. i tried to scale down the resolution of the texture files to 72 ppi, with no positive results. its still the same.
any idea to either compress the finished file without affecting its resolution or follow some tips/trick during/after the making of the file?

thanks a lot

What size do you need the final image to be, as expressed in Pixels wide × Pixels high?

Made a highly textured file at the size specified.

Saved at a JPEG setting of 60 in SFW.

4.029 MB.

How are you going to be using the texture file?

3D? Print? Web-only? Be specific. Any other requirements besides the 3600pxW × 3600pxH size? Any transparency needed?
