I’ve created a button with a slight drop shadow and beveled edges. How do I prevent the drop shadow of the text on top of the button from altering the buttons drop shadow?

Thanks,
Ray

Ray,

It sounds to me as though you’d have to have your text on a separate layer such that the layer effects for it are independent of those applied to the button layer. Have you merged the text with your button layer? If so, that may be the source of your difficulty.

Daryl

Hi Daryl,
It is on a separate layer for text but I noticed when in the blending options box, changes to the text layer affected the button.

After playing with it a while I decided the changes were not major enough to fool with it.

Thanks for the info
Ray
