Hello,
I am using PhotoShop CS3 Extended along with MS Vista. for some reason when I open more then one image or file at a time, I recieve a message saying Photoshop has stopped working and then it closes out of Photoshop.

Does anyone know why and if there have been any fixes or patches? I did not have this issue when I used CS3 on XP.

Thank you,
Isaac

try changing your virtual memories on your pc…
What this does is allocates some part of ur pc’s hard drive and runs it as if it was ur RAM step 1)
press windows key + pause/break key together
or
rightclick mycomputer and click properties

step2)
click advance tab > performance settings> advance tab> change under virtual memory

check the following details

recommended:
and
currently allocated

if the currently allocated is smaller then the recommended …

then click on custom size
change initial to recommended size,
and maximum to 2xrecommended size.
and then ok> apply> ok> ok
and if it asks to restart then just carry on and restart the system

With 2gigs of RAM with CS3 Extended you’re playing at the edge of what is needed to run it well. You also need more that one physical drive.

You are right though that CS3 has unresolved issues. Glad I passed on the downgrade.
