Lost ability to scan into Photoshop after downloading Publisher

Any advice will be much appreciated! I recently downloaded Publisher and just now went to scan in a pic through Photoshop and discovered that my options in importing are limited to Annotations and WIA support. I tried to scan in through Picassa (Google Photo Program) and it said that the scanner has been taken over by another program. I can only assume that it’s Publisher. So, short of uninstalling Publisher, what are my options? Thanks!

I recently downloaded Publisher and just now went to scan in a pic through Photoshop and discovered that my options in importing are limited to Annotations and WIA support.

The Adobe gods are very angry with you.

Have you tried re-booting your PC? Not sure if it will work, but things sometimes get left open during installs that will work just fine after you re-boot. The error screen saying that it is in use by another program implies that one of the programs was not closed properly.
