Remove glass from image?

I took this pic a few weeks ago and I can’t figure out how to remove the glass from the table (to me the glass is a bit distracting).

Anyone have a suggestion? I’ve looked for tutorials but didn’t find anything that fit the task.

The best thing to do would be to crop the picture, you could spend time with the stamp tool but why bother with a part of the picture that is not important?

I tried clone stamping but it just looked really obvious. I’ll try cropping the pic to take the glass out; thanks for the advice.

maybe try an oval mask. that way you’ll get the most important part of the image and it’ll look cool if you fade (feather) the edges of the mask…

I would do what Dave suggested. Considering the subject matter in the photo a feather would be a nice touch.

play around with the mask after you add it. select it, invert, gauss blur to fade edges. select, invert add something like a conte crayon filter to mess with the edges. etc. play. have fun.
