I would recommend reading the readme file in Ffactory which will tell you to copy the file from the plug-in folder to the Photoshop CSx directory. I did this and it works fine. I am running Photoshop CS3 Extended.

It does not seem very smart to put something in the System file, when it really does not belong there. Here is the read me text concerning this issue:

IMPORTANT:

If you choose to install the Filter Factory plug-in with Photoshop CS2 running under Windows XP, you must also copy the file MSVCRT10.dll to the Photoshop CS2 directory on your hard drive. The MSVCRT10.dll file can be found on this CD-ROM, in the same directory as this Read Me file.
