What is the best way to resample or up size small images or line drawings?

Hello,

I am trying to find out the best way in photoshop to upsize small thumbnail image, not just a images but also line drawings to. (Is the term I am look for called re sample an image?) Is there a photoshop action that is recommended? Or is there some kind of plugin that would do the job.

No matter what you use, making big ones out of little ones will yield poor results unless they are vector graphics. There’s no free lunch, and there’s no way to manufacture image data where none existed before.

That said, take a look at: <http://vectormagic.com/> Might be helpful to some extent.

There used to be something called DOP Upsizing which does a fair job of resampling, if you can find it. I’m not sure that it does any better job than Photoshop’s Bicubic Smoother.
