I was using PhotoDeluxe and Photoshop on the same computer and decided to uninstall PhotoDeluxe. I made sure not to uninstall any files that might be common between the two. Now, when I click on a file in Windows Explorer, Photoshop will open but the image will not. If I go into Photoshop first and select Open and the file name, the image opens just fine. Does anyone know why the image will not open from Windows Explorer? Thanks!

First try to "re-associate" your file type with photoshop by right clicking and choose Open With.

That didn’t work. Any other suggestions? Maybe reinstall Photoshop? Uninstalling PhotoDeluxe was that only thing that changed on my computer – so something there must have caused the problem.

Thanks!

so you’re saying the registry key for whatever format you’re trying to open (tif, jpg, gif, psd, etc.) includes the "%1"? that’s the problem.

OK, I quit. I tried the registry business, now I’m reloading PhotoShop. I hope this works.
