Can’t Save As…

using photoshop CS3, and when i try to "Save As…" the dialog box opens and closes immediately, then CS3 freezes and will NOT unfreeze. i end up having to open task manager and close it manually. any suggestions? i really need help with this.

hit ESC when that happens. then try again. that should clear it.

haven’t tried that but i forgot to mention that i work with a variety of image sizes, from 3×3 inches to 8×6 feet. i have 2gb of RAM in my system and should have no problem handling these images. i’ll try your suggestion though! thanks, still need help though!

while we’re on the subject, i used to be able to work NO PROBLEM with CS3, now it seems to run more and more sluggish every day…. any suggestions?

is your default system printer a network printer? if so create a local one and set it to default.

did the ESC trick work?

you can still select it when you need it, but if you set local to be system default (even if you don’t have one hooked up, just create one in the control panel> printers group) the sluggish problems should go away. it’s a cs3 bug.
