Please let me know if this has happened to anyone and if you have a fix. Windows XPS.

After a while of having CS3 opened and working w/ multiple files, I start to lose the shortcut functions such as transform, then I might not be able to deselect anymore and finally when I try to save the document, the words I type to id the file come out all garbled, ie. hotdog1 will appear as ghe.se3l.
there is no rhyme or reason.
This is getting more frequent and there is no error message to hint that the program is crapping out.
Any solutions?
Thanks

Try resetting your preferences as described in the FAQ.

<http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.ef4a07f/1>

You either have to physically delete (or rename) the preference files or, if using the Alt, Ctrl, and Shift method, be sure that you get a confirmation dialog.

This resets all settings in Photoshop to factory defaults.

A complete uninstall/re-install will not affect the preferences and a corrupt file there may be causing the problem.
