Then you just need the following
A Computer
A Projector
The Cable to connect the "monitor out" socket from the computer to the projector
If you want to see your "local monitor" (handy if you are doing a demonstration!) then you will need another cable to take the "monitor out" port back to your local monitor.
A few projectors come with a Y-cable…that splits the signal from our your computer to so…you can send one cable to the projector and one to your local monitor.
Another alternative is to get a "distribution amplifier"….a magic box that can multiply one signal to many (e.g. 1 in 2 out)
If you use a laptop then you can toggle between
– local display only
– projector only
– both local and project (and still only use one cable to the projector)
The most important thing when using today LCD projectors is to get the "resolution match"
if you connect a SVGA 800×600 projector to a 1024×768 computer then it looks bad
Like with 1024×768 XGA projector will project a 800×600 computer display bad also.
If you get a XGA 1024×768 projector and set the computer resolution to the same it will look great.
The thing with laptops is…that they are fixed at a certain pixel resolution….so you stuck with getting a projector to match. A desktop computers resolution can be changed…and it really does change.

do you want to display the contents of the monitor screen– on which the speaker would be using PS, or
do you want to show the keyboard, mouse and tablet, or both?

Sorry for not explaining it very well. The speaker will be doing a
live
presentation and I want to have a "Photoshop layout" on screen so we
can
see
his every movement of the mouse etc.
