hi there..
this is my problem. cant install cs3 on my window vista premium 32-bit.. it ask me to close IE… already close IE but i keep ask to close it.. my IE is version 8 beta…tq

My first thought would be to boot in safe mode with networking enabled, and see if you can install then. Second would be to remove IE8 – it’s a beta version and could be causing problems.

what i do is..
open task manager and end process of iexplorer.exe

I had similar issue!
What a panic attack I went through, glad U solved it. I had to make SURE all programs were out and off

I am also experiencing the same problem. Does my anti virus have to do with this problem?

Ed,

Seems there are some legit programs that launch IE and keep it hidden. There are also malware programs, that do the same.

In Taskmanager>Processes find all instances of IE and stop them. Before you do install, I’d see if you can track down which programs are launching it. Also, when you do install, make sure that all AV, etc. programs are NOT running.
