Can someone tell me or direct me to a tutorial on how to make sand at someone feet ( what is the authentic color?). Are there filters out there also

Your question is unclear, and we’re not mind readers (at least nobody I know of is ;))

Please make an effort to describe exactly what you’re after. Take all the words you need. We may not be mind readers, but a lot of us here are really good text readers.

what is the authentic color?

It’s usually grains of pure quartz, so it’s actually white; but looks gray because of optical effects. Due to impurities in the quartz it can turn yellowish or reddish.

Are there filters out there also

There are, but you have to clean them quite often (sorry, couldn’t resist B-) )

You could simulate sand like this in 3 steps:

Fill with #e0d59a
Add noise: Amount 7, Gaussian, monochromatic
Bevel and emboss with wrinkle pattern texture

John, thank you sorry about being unclear ( I am fairly new at this). Your sample is perfect then I can create a Pattern and spray on my photo on a new layer to creat sand at their feet.
But I am having problems recreating your example the first 2 steps are find and the key seems to be the set up with the bevel and emboss set up. Can you detail the set up.
I really appreciate you help
Thanks

Step 3 broken down:

Double click layer to unlock it.

Right-click > Blending options

Select "Texture" under "Bevel and Emboss"

Set Scale to 600% and Depth to 50%

Experiment!

Make sure you don’t get the bevelled borders in the pattern.

John,

I’ve been creating "sand" for many years and versions, and your tutorial is excellent. I really liked the results! Thanks for sharing. I am going to copy your solution and change my normal workflow.
