Read through the other posts on this subject elsewhere on the forum. There are too many possibilities to list here.

I have a similar problem – we have a new iMac and I can’t install Photoshop Extended. The installer runs for a very long time and then of the three components only the shared components are installed. The others (including Photoshop) fail.

I did all the Mac updates with no luck. The only other Adobe program installed on the machine is Acrobat 8 (not the reader but the actual program).

hi john, unless you’re trying to install under windows running on a mac, you should repost in the mac forum here:

Thanks – I actually posted my problem at:

I’ve used a lot of forums over the years but the Adobe forums seem to be really difficult to navigate – odd too in that I had to create a new account to post messages although I can read messages fine using my original credentials.

hi john, you should get good help over there. there’s good people on the "dark side" 😉

once you get used to them, they’re very clean and efficient. no cluttering icons or sigs. you do have to pay attention to what you’re reading though.

good luck, dave

And where. Thinking this one guy’s problem was posted in the PS forum, I had an answer and posted it. Turns out it was in the Illy forum… and I did not have an answer for that problem with that software.

D’oh!

A little embarrassing when that happens.

Acrobat can cause problems with the install, there are some clean-up scripts that might help?
