have recently encounter a problems that when i tried to opened the PNG or GIF files that i save earlier, photoshop CS3 just wont open it. It keeps giving me a messages saying "Could not complete your request because the file-format module cannot parse the file". I even reinstall the photoshop, but still receiving the same problem. If there any way i could fix it?

How do you save the files? Some programs create slightly off-beat files that may expose problems. Also, when downloading them via a browser, they may not be fully intact and have premature "end of file" info that causes problems.

Kelly,

I do not know CS3, so pardon me if I give you bum info. In earlier versions of PS, one had to manually load the GIF parser. It was in one of the Goodies folders, that depended on the version. Do not recall that for PNG, but it might be that way too. Back in CS2, it seems that one had to load the GIF into two locations, as ImageReady was then part of the program. That has changed, but there should be a TXT file in the Goodies Folder to tell you what and where.

Hope that helps you,

Hunt
