I’m pretty sure I don’t want anything bigger
than the smallest pad but I’m wondering if
the extra sensitivity and directional feature
is worth $200. I just bought the Graphire 3
and was pleasantly surprised how much
better than the 1.

It depends on what you are doing with it. For masking and image restoration it isn’t worth it. For painting and such in something like Painter it would be as it is smoother. I have the Graphire 3 6×8 and love it. That is an upgrade from the 4×5 Graphire 2 which I found too small to use comfortably with the included mouse.
