I am getting ready to bite the bullet for a Wacom Cintiq 21 ux or wx. But I am unsure as to what the current consensus (if any) is relative to the normal or wide screen.

I currently have a 3 monitor system with a 21 inch wide screen in the center surrounded by two 19 inch screens.

Also, has anyone heard of any other models Wacom may come out with?

Would appreciate any thoughts.

Make sure you do your research on the Cintiq – main issue contenders are the old wobbly line syndrome, the fact your hand gets in the way when you are drawing ( I know it sounds odd as you have to use your hand to draw )and the pen parallax is usually misaligned due to your viewing angle.

I sometimes use my tablet PC, not a cintiq, but the principle’s the same and once the novelty wears off and you begin to need functionality, these niggles are really quite intrusive.

If you can try one – I’d recommend doing so. If the above issues have been iron out, then it’s full steam ahead and have loads of fun with it.
