I have a workstation with AE CS3 and PS CS2 installed.
AE, ImageReady and Bridge work fine but PS won’t work at all. It launches but that’s about all. No drop down menus work and it must be quit using CTRL, ALT DELETE.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks

What computer? What graphics card? What monitor setup? What was the install order of the programs? Have you tried resetting the prefs?

HP XW8600 Quad Dual Core 2.66ghz Xeons (or something!), 3gb Ram Nvidia Quadro FX 1700
Dual Monitors

It came from the reseller with AE CS3 installed and I installed PS CS2 yesterday.

Prefs reset made no difference.

Thanks

* uh-oh* Just as I suspected. The CS3 install being on the system before the CS2 one very likely has locked up some of the Adobe shared files, so the CS2 installer never was able to complete its task properly (even if it may not have given a error). I’m afraid you will have to uninstall everything and try in reverse order. Just don’t forget to deactivate your programs before attempting or in the next round you may get stuck with "Licensing for this product has stopped working". also consider using the CS3 clean scripts to get rid of every trace CS3.

AE CS3 removed completely.
PS CS2 removed completely.
PS CS2 installed and re-activated – still the same problem without CS3 on the system. Help!

Did you delete the preferences, as explained in the FAQ. Reinstalling does not do this.

Yes, preferences deleted.
Even tried the CS3 clean scripts for AE the second time around.
