I had serious corruption issues with the user profile I was using when I setup my CS3, when I created a new user account and tried to open PS it says my licensing is no longer valid… This is rediculous, surely this is a mistake right??

This indeed should not happen. However, the question is, did you add your user to the proper directory permissions? Windows doesn’t do that on its own, you have to do so manually (unless of course, you are part of a user group with sufficient privileges). Therfore look whether your "Program Files", "All Users/Application Data" and simialr directories are properly configured.

I’m not sure, my IT guy boyfriend installed it…

We’ve tried all of this…

and nothing is working… I’m going to have to remove everything and hope it lets me reinstall normally all over again.

have you reinstalled over the last install (same location, etc) while logged into the new account?

No, my boyfriend has all of my disks ( all of my software, recovery, etc) in his "vault" and I have to go over there to do the install… I’m hoping it works fine the second install.

you let your "boyfriend" hold your disks?!! i don’t let my WIFE near my disks! 🙂

seriously though, get the disks, reinstall, under the new id.

don’t let my WIFE near my disks!

Grin… I keep ALL of the discs at my desk, and my wife does not touch my computer (but I do all setup and maintenance on hers)

Of course, I do not touch her fabric swatches or paint chip samples (she’s an interior designer) so I guess it all evens out
