CS3, Vista OS, Nikon NEF file

After making image adjustment in Camera Raw the image is very dark when opened in CS3. Can correct by adjusting gamma in exposure or blending a new duplicate layer using screen.

Is there any way to avoid the extra steps or am I doing something wrong?

What color space are you working in? What are the settings in Edit>Color Preferences dialog box? If your set up is correct, then the image in PS should look exactly like the preview in Camera Raw.

Check the output parameters at the bottom of the ACR window. It looks like a link but it should be a button!

Thanks for the help. There is something going on that is a bigger mystery. The color profiles are the same in PS and ACR.

I use two monitors. Both are calibrated. If I move the image from my primary to secondary it is very dark. For some reason(or lack of reason) I have been using Bridge and ACR on the pri monitor and PS on the secondary. If I do all the work on the primary all is well. If I move bridge to the secondary monitor all thumb nails are dark. The review image is correct. If I move PS with an open image over to the secondary. The image remains ok but the image in the Navigator box is dark. Not critical but a mystery for me to work on. Both monitors are LCDs
