I believe there are good software programs out there that are designed to make it easier to produce a panorama from 2 or more photos. With the addition of a digital camera, I can no longer get as wide angle lens as I would wish. If someone could recommend such a program, I would appreciate it very much.

This is quite a common question- here are a few threads I found which might help you:

Daryl Pritchard "Panorama’s" 9/12/03 6:32am </cgi-bin/webx?13/23>

Burton Ogden "creating a 360 image" 8/11/03 6:50pm </cgi-bin/webx?13/1>

Jeff Bender "Create panorama pictures" 8/5/03 8:10pm </cgi-bin/webx?13/13>

Mathias Vejerslev "Better Stitching program" 5/12/03 8:18pm </cgi-bin/webx?13/0>

I use his PTAssembler software. I have done some 2×2 and 3×3 stitchings and they have come out perfect. No one has detected that they were assembled. They software does have a bit of a learning curve but it is very flexible and effective.

Helen,

Gosh, I can’t wait until I’m organized like you,(and lots of others) to be able to just "spew" out information… I’m a "want-to-be" lots of stuff!

Good to C-Ya Helen.

That’s the magic of copying and pasting from the search results Patty! I thought it would be kinder to pick out a few examples instead of just pointing Harry to the search, as the search isn’t particularly friendly.

Thank you Helen et.al. I have downloaded PTAssembler and am getting ready to tackle what looks like a super program (also fiendishly complicated). BTW I have even learned how to spell stitching<g>.

Harry,

"BTW I have even learned how to spell stitching<g>. "

Good grammar and spelling "blended" with a good sense of humor will take you far in the photoshop forum!

I don’t have experience with PTA assembler, but have read about its complex learning curve. Go for it Harry, I bet you can figure it out!
