My old workflow use image ready to export rollovers, etc.

If I look at a typical nav menu (for my design), I have an area that needs several different types of slices.

1 slice involves the background, with the buttons turned off 2 slice involves the buttons in their off state
3 slice involves the buttons in their on state

It seems I would need to use 3 layers of slices to accomplish this.

My current workflow sucks – I

-slice the background , export
-slice the off state, export
-toggle to my on state, then export (uses the same name as off state) but put it in a /rollover folder.

It is a lot more work that I would like, and a pain if I have to go back and change the background… recreating the slice destroys my button slices.

I am curious to hear about your workflow for this.

Best,
