Hi all
We have a new website that will bring Clients to Designers and will work in a different way. We invite quality designers to join (free) at this early stage. You will need an online portfolio for us to take a peek at. The reason for this is that we will be bringing many clients that require design work to our forum and we do not want to offer them sub-standard work. The way it will work is as follows:

Master Retouching Hair

Learn how to rescue details, remove flyaways, add volume, and enhance the definition of hair in any photo. We break down every tool and technique in Photoshop to get picture-perfect hair, every time.

How can you be a serious designer if you take on cheap "low fixed cost projects" – I quote from the description metatag on your index page below( typo included)
Also I am by no means ‘one of the finest designers in the world’ – I just knock up school worksheets and cheap graphics for people in my village, but even I wouldn’t waste my time producing work that I might not get paid for.

Hi all, just a quick note to thank the 17 designers who have applied to come on board from this group. We will be assessing your portfolio’s over the next few days. I must also say that the few I have looked at are of excellent standard and I am very confident that we will forge ahead after seeing the quality of your work. We already have in place some very promising job specs so please be patient and stick in there. As for the remarks made in retaliation (I think) I think it best and more dignified of me to acknowledge them without further comment. If any one has any questions I would be pleased to answer them on a personal level.
Once again thank you all for your applications.

I also don’t think I am going to submit ideas (solutions to problems) before knowing I will be paid for it, unless I don’t have anything better to do.

Bitch-slapping you for trying to pass off such a ludicrous arrangement as kosher is not "retaliation."

I think it best and more
dignified of me to acknowledge them without further comment.

Someone who is promoting sweatshop labor as "professional" has no dignity to start with.

Piss off.

Well, I wasn’t threatening him. Couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy, though.

He’s posted advertisements soliciting business on other groups. Anyone care to post followups there, maybe links to the google archive of this thread?
