Photoshop CS3 Keeps shutting down

I cannot open more than one document at a time. Photoshop shuts down and sends an error message. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Photoshop, but it happened again.

This is related to the known printer issue as far as I remember. If you open up files that have references to printers no longer available, only the first one will be opened correctly and the subsequent ones will crash. This is also documented somewhere on the knowledge base. The only workaround is to install the driver of the printer in question…
