Text gets cut off

We are creating a 36×100 image. We have done these before, but for some reason now when we place text it this new image it seems that there is a border at 57" that does not allow text to display past this mark. Everything else seems to display fine past this mark;only text is effected. Any ideas to what could be going on?

The version we have is 5.5 yeah I know it is old 🙁

That’s a known issue with very large files. The workaround is to create a type mask and fill it.

I haven’t seen this behavior in version 7.
