When I try to open Photoshop 5.0 it is "Not Responding" I had not had any problem previously. I have Windows XP. Could it be due to the automatic upgrades from Microsoft and/or HP that is causing the problem and if so how do I solve it?

You might try running the program under an earlier version of windows. Right click the program in explorer and select "Properties" there at the bottom. Select the ‘Compatibility’ tab check the box and choose an earlier Windows version. That should work for you.
