My girlfriend gave me a Adobe Extended premium Suite, and I installed it, all 400+ Meg. When I looked at un-installing some of the many included programs (Dreamweaver, etc) a message said that if I uninstalled any, then none would work properly.
Photoshop is really all I need.
I have 320G memory, but I’m concerned this huge program might be slowing the system.

Any advice appreciated.

Girlfriend, eh? I think marriage would be in order here 😉

You can uninstall whatever you like, but leaving it won’t tax your system in any noticeable way as long as it just sits there.

What you’re referring to is deactivating, and that’s suite-wide. Deactivate one, and the whole suite is deactivated. But that’s not needed to uninstall components.

I’d leave it if I were you. And buy some flowers for your girlfriend. 🙂

If it won’t slow boot time or hd searching, I’m happy to leave it there. It’s an incredible bunch of professional programs.
It’s Adobe Creative Suite Master Collection.
Thanks for the advice.

By the way, is there a forum where folks submit photos for some advice on working them in PS?

Which suite exactly did you get? There’s no such thing as the Extended premium suite. If you got the Design Premium it’s going take up more than 400 megs but as already noted, having these installed won’t affect anything.
