It’s been weird i used to have PS CS3 Extended with no such problems.. but ever since i upgraded to PS CS4, when i’m working on a file and try to undo, the screen doesn’t seem to refresh, meaning that after undoing (even though the history panel reflects the undo) whats supposed to be undone still appears on the screen, but it goes away as soon as you move the cursor on the file and click with the mouse.

in short, when undoing anything you need to click on the image to update or refresh the file.

have tried enabling and disabling the GPU setting and did all sort of other things to work it out with no luck.

anyone with the same problem?

p.s: i have ps CS4 as part of the master collection CS4 but only installed PS & bridge plus the shared components.

Yes, sounds like a graphics card problem in combination with a bug in PS. Another user also reported this and it seems, that on certain setups using NVidia cards the program does not request a screen refresh. The user in question wrote his own little testing tool, but obviously this does not help you much, so I guess you are stuck with the problem. You could just try to change your graphics card settings and see if one of the combinations makes PS behave better…

Have you tried updating your video card driver?

Why are you asking Mylenium when you have a Photoshop engineer to ask?

@Buko: lool, good point, its just that my driver is up to date yet it dosesnt make any difference.

Chris, is there anything else i should do?

I have Nvidia Geforce 8500GT 512MB

What you’re describing sounds almost exactly like a bug that NVidia fixed in their drivers (and a slightly different bug ATI fixed as well). So far updating the drivers has fixed it for other users.
So, beyond updated drivers, I don’t know what to tell you.

You might check the driver settings, and see if any other applications are open that might use (and interfere with) OpenGL.
