I have always used the shortcut Ctrl+Alt+~ to get luminosity selection. It always worked in Photoshop CS3 and still does on my computer, but when I try it in CS4 nothing happens and it doesn’t work. Do I have a preference or setting wrong? Any ideas?
Thanks,
Matthew Kraus

Ctrl+Alt+~

Don’t know about that, but ctrl + RGB channel (in the channels panel) works for me.

I think they moved some of the shortcuts around.

J,
What Matthew needs is not to display that channel, but to load as selection.

I encounter the same problem that ctrl+alt+~ will not load the luminosity selection in CS4. Works fine in CS3.

Solved the problem in CS4 by using the (2) key rather than the tilde after ctrl+alt
