Sorry but i was insane when i wrote that. I must buy the hardware to keep up with the Adobe world. I didnt know about trial CS4 but i still like its display features. I’ll keep it.

My anger stemed from how slow the CS4 Clone Tool works as compared to the CS2 Tool. Maybe Adobe can, in CS5, toggle the Tool to revert to the CS2 version. The CS4 Clone Tool is so very slow that i dont think a faster CPU is the answer. Now i use my old CS2 for extensive cloning.

I am using a quad core processor and have no trouble speed wise with the clone tool in CS4. Unfortunately when one skips an upgrade of a major power hogging program like Photoshop you end up with more wow as the upgrade seems more impressive but you also run the very likely risk of having outdated hardware.

As for the trial, well yes now there is one. But, the trial has only become available very recently. Adobe needs to do more to get the trial out much sooner after the product ships so that it can be used by those looking to upgrade to see if they are going to have to upgrade their hardware too. I suspect that Adobe won’t do this. With the number of bugs in CS4 had a trial been available nearly from the start I think most of would be waiting for a set of patches to fix the problems before Adobe got our money. Adobe doesn’t like that thought, can’t blame them really.
