In the past I haven’t jumped straight in and upgraded to a new release camera but for the first time I decided to and have preordered (and prepaid) for a new Canon 5DII(we’ll see just how well that works out in a few weeks!!!)

But I was wondering what Adobe’s track record has been like in the past for Canon cameras

How long after shipping does it usually take Adobe to get the upgraded ACR out there?

Fortunately I’m in Australia so we might have our deliveries sometime after "the rest of the world"

You’ll get a better feel for the whole ACR update policy in the Camera Raw forum.

In a nutshell: they update about four times a year and, to some extent, coverage of individual cameras is dependent on the cooperation of the camera manufacturer releasing data.
