A while back I downloaded a file called "Constrain to 64 pixels.exe". I don’t remember what it did, but when I click on it, it opens PS 7 and I do not notice anything. Does anyone here know anything about this? Could email to someone if they can figure it out. I know the name sounds to say what it does, but is that irreversible? Thanks for the help.

The name of the file and it’s "*.exe" suffix would lead me to guess that this is a self-extracting compressed Photoshop Action file. It might also be an ImageReady droplet. A droplet is a simple script that will automate a series of procedures that will be applied to an image.

If I have indeed guessed what it is, the file wants to be decompressed by WinZIP or something similar, and THEN loaded into Photoshop’s Actions Palette. If it’s a droplet after expansion, it can be placed anywhere, —It will have it’s own distinct icon, either on the desktop on wherever you file it—and you’d then drag and drop a file onto it’s icon to activate the script that would then take your image and run it through a series of manipulations that wwould, I guess, "Constrain to 64 pixels"

For whatever this may be worth…If it’s a droplet, you’ll see the icon change to a PS icon and it won’t need extraction. Droplets ARE exe’s.

I concur w/Tony. I bet it’s a droplet. drop a (temp test) image file on it and see what happens.
