This is strange. Using PS3, all of a sudden when I use the file open all the directories come up in reverse. By that I mean the folders are at the bottom and the files are first. If I switch to use adobe dialog it shows correct, folders at top and files underneath.

Did I change something somewhere? I tried to reset prefs but that didn’t work.

I must have changed something somewhere but can’t figure it out. Thanks for any help in advance.

Add to this. In OS dialog the folders show on the top as folder 12,11, etc wheres in PS dialog they show as folder 1,2, etc at the top.

Try:
After you do file open,
change your "View Menue" to "Details", then click on the "Date Modified" column head
so that the arrow is pointing up.
Then change your "View Menu" to how however you want.

Just a guess.

Thanks Jerry but that didn’t help. When I open a folder it defaults on list instead of details like I had it originally. This is driving my nuts trying to figure out what I did, if I did something to change it.

I’ve noticed that this is happening in every program except in windows explorer. Anyone?

Photoshop 3 doesn’t even run on modern OS versions.

Are you, by chance, referring to Photoshop CS3 (aka version 10).

The OS file open/save dialogs are controlled by the OS. Photoshop doesn’t have much control of how or what they display.

Dave, I knew I could count on you to come through.LOL That is exactly what I was experiencing. I bookmarked that site in case I inadvertently do that again.

Thank you so much.

Yes it is CS3. Sorry for any confusion. I Actually still have my PS 3 all encased in the plastic packaging it came with. LOL
